There are an estimated 14,000 homeless people living in Las Vegas and the students and faculty of UNLV have seen the effects of homelessness on campus and throughout the valley. The structure of Greenspun Hall, the newest building on the UNLV campus, has an open design that is inviting to people living on the street.
